On December 31st, our children gather together for mid-night service. Before the service started at around 10:00-11:00pm, our children played social games & enjoyed themselves. From 11:00 pm the mid-night service were started and stopped at 12:00 am then they shouted “HAPPY NEW YEAR” for three times and enjoyed eating rice-chicken soup and finished the service.
In January, the graduation service of Acts Bible College were held. The founder and president of Acts Bible College is Rev. James Lian Sai who also is our children home’s founder. The Children’s Home and Acts Bible College share one campus together half by half. Of course, we did have our fencing. Our children experience every year of the graduation service of Acts Bible College.
Also, Dr. Paul Berube and his medical team from the State came and visited us for the children’s health concern. We thank God for the team that they came and help us a lot. Dr. Paul has bought six guitars for us and our children really enjoyed playing and learning how to play them.

December 2009 Myanmar Report

The month of December was a joyful month for our children because on this very month they were being blessed by their sponsors. They got their love gifts from their sponsors. They got their new clothes for the day of Christmas. They enjoyed their delicious meal. They played their social games and compete different kinds of competition. Their school was closed for 3 days.
On the morning of Christmas day, our children enjoyed to have their group photo. They were very happy to wear their new clothes.
They love to listen interestingly about the Christ-birth story told by the children’s home president, James Lian Sai. We invited all of their Government school’s teachers so that we may have a kind of building up relationship to each other as we are being responsible for their educational field.
On 27th of December our elderly orphans’ children and our youth group made their Gospel trip to one village. It was really a kind of fruitful gospel journey because many came to respond to the Gospel.
Many were saved due to this trip. Thanks to our God who really bless and used upon the children. Thanks also to the all sponsors those who really have been a source of blessing for our children and me. May our God bless each and every one of you in this New Year as you served Him faithfully.

I always enjoy getting reports from our ministry partners. In Myanmar, we partner with Acts Myanmar Missions by providing child sponsorship for children at Acts Children’s Home. As of today, we have 17 children available for sponsorship (and another 130 to become available once these 17 are sponsored).
This morning, I received an email from Thang Chung Nung, director at the children’s home. Here is what he said, “Hello!Greetings to you from Myanmar. I hope you are doing great. We all are also doing great. This month, in February we do have many special events. Especially there was special occasion of giving prizes in the Government school where some of our children attended. On this occasion one of our child(girl)…got the 3rd prize. And also on this month most of our children those who attended from 0- standard to 9-standard wrote their exam. We also have the celebration on the faithfulness of God upon our ministry, the 20th anniversary of Acts mission. And also we had some visitors from the state for medical check-up and treatment. God has been so good and faithful upon our children. Thank you very much for your love and care for us. And also this is our prayer that God may richly bless upon all the sponsors and you. Thank you again.Thang Chung Nung”
